Mozart Piano Sonata Collection I

Author: Robert Teichmüller, edited by Xu Xiaofang, translated by Xu Xiaofang
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-09-01
Features: The Robert Teichmüller edition of Mozart's "Piano Sonatas" (I, II) was compiled based on the definitive edition of Mozart's "Piano Sonatas and Fantasy" published by Breitkopf & H?rtel in response to the request of the Berlin Academy of Arts. However, there are two exceptions: the 18th and 19th sonatas. The former comes from the "Complete Works of Mozart," while the latter comes from the old 1828 version by Breitkopf & H?rtel. The editor has added fingerings to this edition and provides clear explanations for the markings regarding expression, phrasing, tempo, performance style, and technique. For the same type of ornamental notes, only one mark is used in the same sonata, and the mark is placed at the first occurrence of the ornamental note in the piece. Short appoggiaturas presented in the definitive edition as sixteenth or thirty-second notes will be introduced in this book with their current playing methods.
