Features: What is suspense? Alfred Hitchcock once gave a famous definition of suspense: If you want to portray a group of people playing cards around a table and then suddenly an explosion occurs, you can only shoot a very stiff scene of being startled after the explosion. On the other hand, although you are portraying the same scene, if you first show the (timed bomb) under the table before the card game begins, then you create suspense and engage the audience's attention. In fact, Hitchcock's works are not just appealing because of suspense; their depth is much greater.
