Features: What is suspense? Alfred Hitchcock once gave a famous definition of suspense: If you want to show a group of people playing cards around a table and then suddenly an explosion occurs, you can only shoot a very stiff scene of being startled after the explosion. On the other hand, although you are showing the same scene, if you first show the (timer bomb) under the table before the card game starts, then you create suspense and engage the audience's hearts. In fact, Hitchcock's works are not just appealing because of suspense; their depth is much greater.
