Features: Lin Weiyin (1904–1955), this brilliant architect and writer of the past century, was not fully recognized until the mid-1980s of the 20th century when her first literary work, Lin Weiyin’s Poetry Collection, was published posthumously. At that time, few readers knew her name, and even specialists in the study and teaching of modern Chinese literature often had little knowledge of her, leaving her out of the of literary historians. Soon after, due to the "Xu Zhimo craze," her name frequently appeared in the media. With the broadcast of the TV drama A Dream of April in the World, Lin Weiyin became almost a household name. However, the historical figure Lin Weiyin is vastly different from the romanticized and love-struck image portrayed in modern media! During her lifetime, Lin Weiyin disliked being referred to as "Mrs. Liang." Yet now, she is known to posterity through another man who was not a doctor. How would she feel in the afterlife, given this disparity? A centennial commemoration of Lin Weiyin has already been held. As a successor, compiling a comprehensive collection titled Lin Weiyin’s Literary Works aims not only to honor the great figure but also to correct misconceptions, allowing the world to recognize through Lin Weiyin’s Literary Works a remarkable woman of extraordinary personal charm and literary talent.
