Features: Qiu Ting, male, Han nationality, born in Guangdong in 1971. He entered the Landscape Painting program of the Chinese Painting Department at the China Academy of Art in 1992. In 1996, he graduated with a bachelor's degree. In 1997, he was admitted to the Master's program in the Landscape Painting program of the Chinese Painting Department at the China Academy of Art and graduated in 2000, earning a master's degree. The same year, he was admitted as a doctoral student in the Painting Department of the Academy of Arts & Science at Tsinghua University, studying under Professor Zhang Ding. During his studies, he received the Nomination Award for the Art & Science National Art Exhibition, the Zhejiang Provincial University Scientific Research Achievement Award, the Outstanding PhD Scholarship, the Top Ten Graduate Students of Tsinghua University, the Special Scholarship of Tsinghua University, Beijing's "Three Good Learning" Award, and the Eighth "Astronaut Eagle" Academic New Talent Award of Tsinghua University. He has previously published six personal academic works, among which "Explanation of Brushwork Techniques in Landscape Painting" has been designated as a professional learning textbook by more than ten professional institutions across the country. In January 2004, he received his PhD in Fine Arts from Tsinghua University. He is currently teaching at the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The graduate and postgraduate students selected in this book are among the outstanding students from many key art colleges in contemporary China, representing a certain level of excellence. This series of books only selects research works from four painting and sculpture disciplines—Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, and sculpture—as well as three art design disciplines—environmental art, graphic design (visual communication), and craft design (fiber art)—from various fields.
