Features: The main purpose of this book is to help programmers with Java language basics to quickly master Java database programming, and to provide guidance and practical application examples for experimenters, undergraduates, and postgraduates learning to write Java database programs. The book primarily focuses on practicality, ensuring readers can apply what they learn. Java is a platform-independent programming language that guarantees its basic data types are platform-agnostic at the source code level. The principle of the Java programming language is "write once, run anywhere," and it is suitable for programming in three-tier distributed network database systems. Currently, it has been successfully applied in network e-commerce, logistics distribution, and other B2B and B2C systems. This book is a practical textbook primarily focused on database application examples, including: creating database application models, retrieving database information, displaying database data, updating databases, the application of the JDBC API, the application of JBuilder database components, servlet database examples, JSP database examples, and the application of three-tier databases. The examples listed in this book can be applied in both standalone or network environments. The accompanying CD-ROM contains all the examples from the book. Each example is an independent database application program and can also be used as part of a database engineering project. All the database application examples in the accompanying CD-ROM were compiled in the JBuilder development environment and tested in standalone environments, and they can also be applied in network environments. This book is aimed at readers with a certain foundation in Java and can serve as a textbook for undergraduate and postgraduate students learning Java. It is also a valuable reference book for writing Java database applications.
