Features: This is a long-form. It is based on the oral account of the famous courtesan Kang Suzhen, compiled by Wang Yannian, ands her tragic life of being sold to three major cities and four brothels. She is a witness to the suffering of numerous deceased sisters and the atrocities committed by Northwest warlord Hu Zongnan, Ma Buquan, American soldiers, and the cruel madam. This is a first-hand account by a Chinese prostitute about her own experiences, comparable to Japan's "In the Name of the Father."
