Features: This book is a collection of my earlier research on the two important classical lyric texts, the Book of Songs and the Songs of Chu. They are now separately included in this volume. The first part, New Evidence on the Book of Songs, is a revised and edited version of the Double Sword New Evidence on the Book of Songs, published in 1935. The second part includes the Journal of Chinese Literature , which was published in two issues, along with Notes on the Book of Songs from Zesuoju and Interpretations of Poetic Meanings from Zesuoju, both of which have been slightly revised. The third part consists of individual papers on the research of the Book of Songs, which have also been slightly corrected. As they were written at different times, the formatting varies. They are now retained as originally written. However, an index of titles is provided at the beginning of each paper for easy reference. New Evidence on the Songs of Chu is an old manuscript from 1963, which was published in issues 3 and 4 of Frontline of Social Sciences in 1979. Due to the lack of my proofreading, there were many errors, which are now all corrected.
