Features: Traditional Chinese thought and culture is an extremely vast field. The ancient civilization it embodies, and how it connects with modern natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, has been a concern and focus for scholars in China and the world. Since the reform and opening-up, many scholars have liberated their minds and strived for progress, conducting truly scientific and independent research from the perspective of contemporary academic development, achieving fruitful results. The National Plan Group for the Collection and Publication of Ancient Books has always emphasized the integration of the collection and publication of ancient books with systematic research on traditional culture. It advocates closely linking the precise achievements of research and collection with modernization efforts, ensuring that the inheritance and promotion of China's excellent traditional thought and culture have both a scientific foundation and clear direction. For this very reason, the preface to the "Ten-Year Plan for the Collection and Publication of Chinese Ancient Books and the 'Eighth Five-Year Plan'" formulated in 1992 specifically mentions: "In the next decade, attention should be given to arranging the timely publication of academic works by modern scholars who have achieved significant results in researching ancient books. It is also advocated that modern scholars should dedicate themselves to the study of Chinese ancient books with a modern scientific spirit, with the aim of applying ancient wisdom to the present."
