Features: Most people start learning calligraphy by copying classic scripts. They study the strokes and structures of model characters to achieve consistency with the original scripts. However, if copying is done merely by comparing, it can become monotonous and lack interest, as if something is missing. How can we make the relatively dull process of copying more diverse and engaging? We chose to combine copying with creation by selecting model characters from classic scripts, arranging them into statements of exemplary moral conduct from generations of sages, and structuring them into various forms of calligraphic works. This approach aims to learn the layout and composition of calligraphy while practicing classic scripts, adding more fun, moral refinement, and a sense of achievement to the process. This book combines copying with creation by selecting model characters from classic scripts, arranging them into statements of exemplary moral conduct from generations of sages, and structuring them into various forms of calligraphic works. The goal is to learn the layout and composition of calligraphy while practicing classic scripts, mainly including:
1. Selecting high-quality model characters to avoid repetition of the same characters in a single work.
2. Using the nine-grid format with strong black-and-white contrast, creating the best conditions for beginners to practice copying.
3. For characters not present in the original scripts, we adopted imitative writing to maintain consistency with the original style.
4. Each maxim is accompanied by a complete calligraphic work, with diverse forms.
5. Each calligraphic work is accompanied by a layout explanation.
