Features: To help those who have mastered the basic techniques of ink painting, aspire to create complete ink painting works, yet struggle to find reference books, we have organized this series with professors and renowned painters from various higher art colleges in China who have achieved success in the art world, possess academic expertise, and have rich experience in painting, teaching, and creation. These authors provide detailed analyses from various aspects of painting creation, including material preparation, creative conception, creative process, finishing works, and work reviews. Through clear and insightful technical guidance, they help learners master the key principles of relatively complete and systematic creation, thereby building a ladder leading to the of ink painting art.
This series is divided into five major formats and specifications: scrolls, square frames, fan-shaped paintings, round frames, and albums. Each major format is further divided into three styles: flowers and birds, landscapes, and figures, totaling fifteen volumes. Each volume includes fifty self-drawn examples by the authors, covering aspects such as paper and brush preparation, composition arrangement, painting process, seal appreciation, and work reviews. Additionally, it includes methods for folding paper, inscribing titles, using seals, common painting knowledge, and an anthology of poetry for painting, enhancing its practicality.
This series aims to provide learners with practical technical guidance and specific references, but true mastery requires readers to practice tirelessly. It is not to suggest that guidance equips one with a universal key. To think that this alone can lead to artistic excellence is impossible. If one relies solely on books, they may as well not read any at all!
