Features: Human Structure and Function is a comprehensive medical basic course designed for students in nursing specialties or other medical-related fields at the vocational level. It can also serve as a reference for healthcare professionals and individuals studying medical knowledge independently. The guiding principle for developing this textbook is to cultivate applied medical talents at the vocational level, with the focus on "essential and sufficient" content to reduce the number of basic course hours and alleviate the learning burden. The course has been reorganized and integrated. Based on this, the book combines traditional human anatomy, cytology, histology, embryology, and physiology into a unified system, enabling learners to establish a complete knowledge framework of human structure and function, laying a solid foundation for subsequent medical courses. The textbook is divided into fifteen chapters, with the exception of chapters on cytology, basic tissues, energy metabolism and body temperature, and human development, all other chapters are organized according to the functional systems of the human body, striving for a harmonious integration of structure and function with clear hierarchical organization. To facilitate review, each chapter includes review questions. The appendix provides experimental guides. Since the nervous system plays a special role in all organs and systems and runs throughout the entire book, a brief introduction to the composition of the nervous system is included in the introduction. Teachers can also adjust the teaching content as needed to deepen students' understanding of the neural regulation of various organs and systems.
