Fragment: The basic current situation of the development of competition rules Since the founding of New China, martial arts, as an important part of socialist culture and people's sports, have been comprehensively inherited and developed. In 1950, the All-China Sports Federation organized a national martial arts work symposium, vigorously advocating the development of traditional national martial arts. After the establishment of the State Sports Commission, to promote the development of martial arts and national-style sports, a national performance and competition conference for national-style sports was held in Tianjin in November 1953, with martial arts as the main content, and awards were adopted. In 1956, the China Martial Arts Association was established in Beijing, and martial arts were officially designated as a sports performance event. On November 1 of the same year, a martial arts performance conference with 12 units was held in Beijing for the first time, adopting a trial scoring method to more specifically distinguish the technical levels of athletes. In 1957, the State Sports Commission included martial arts in the sports competition events, held a national martial arts award and observation conference, and organized the compilation and publication of simplified Tai Chi, sets of boxing, dao, jian, gun, and qiang for primary and advanced levels, which played an important role in popularizing and improving martial arts. In 1958, the State Sports Commission formulated the first "Martial Arts Competition Rules," which included widely circulated long fist, Tai Chi, and Nanquan as competition content, and held the national martial arts sports meeting on September 7 in Beijing. Thus, martial arts were incorporated into China's sports competition system. The martial arts rules were used until the martial arts competition of the second National Games in 1965. During this period, a large number of outstanding martial arts athletes emerged. Due to the rules' emphasis on the specifications and stylistic features of routine movements in terms of technical guidance, the routine techniques gradually transformed from traditional to modern, and a competitive martial arts routine technical system with boxing and weapons as the main content was basically formed. From 1966 to 1971, martial arts competitions were suspended due to the impact of the Cultural Revolution, and martial arts competitions resumed in 1972. To prepare for the martial arts competition of the third National Games, the scoring standards in the rules were appropriately modified in 1973, and a clause was added for bonus points for difficult and innovative movements. Due to the rules encouraging athletes to use difficult and innovative movements, a large number of young martial arts athletes stood out in the martial arts competition of the third National Games. Well-regulated movements, skilled techniques, fast speed, high jumps, and high difficulty were the main characteristics of routine techniques at that time. Therefore, the competition was very fierce, and the competition was highly. In 1977, at the national martial arts competition held in Linhe, Inner Mongolia, other boxing and other weapon competition events were added. In 1979, the rules were modified again, limiting jumping and tumbling movements, and stipulating that self-selected events must last at least 120 seconds in terms of movement time. The rules published in 1984 clearly defined the specifications and weights of weapons, and addressed low-level, and unnecessary shouting during competitions. In 1991, the rules modified the specifications of certain steps and action groups in routines and adjusted the point values for deductions in the scoring standards for various errors.
