Author: Wei Junyi
Publisher:
Publish Date: 1998-05-01
Features: This book is the memoirs of the elderly Communist Party member Wei Junyi, following Ba Jin's Collected True Words as another work that speaks the truth. Completed on her deathbed, this book is not merely a reflection after suffering, but rather a profound awakening. Wei Junyi graduated from Tsinghua University in her early years and was one of the most idealistic and radical youth of her time. She gave up the opportunity to study abroad to go to Yan'an for the salvation of the nation. Half a century of storms and repeated movements led her to pick up her pen, using the conscience of an intellectual to record the era she experienced. Her memories are sincere, and her reflections offer new perspectives, inspiration, and lessons.
