Features: The New Concept English series, written by the renowned foreign language educator L.G. Alexander, became wildly popular in China after the 1970s, sparking a craze for the series. It once served as an English textbook for many universities and had a profound impact on English teaching in China. Generations of readers have grown up under the influence of this series, becoming outstanding English talents. In China, several other publishing houses purchased the rights to this series, further refining and even adapting it, expanding its influence even more. In recent years, English teaching in China has made significant progress, with the English proficiency of young people far exceeding that of the previous century. Today, young children have begun studying and memorizing the exquisite passages in this series, especially those in Books 2 and 3, with such fluency and confidence. This series has now become an important supplementary textbook for primary and secondary schools, a key resource for private tutoring schools, and an essential workbook for parents seeking systematic guidance for their children. To enhance the appeal of this series, we have begun to supplement it. We have developed two companion series: "One Lesson, One Practice" and "Synchronized Tests." Each series consists of four volumes, corresponding to the original books. These exercises progress from easy to difficult, are systematically designed, and offer a variety of question types, catering to the cognitive psychology and learning levels of students at different stages. The exercises in this supplementary material are engaging for young learners, including filling in letters, multiple-choice questions, cloze tests, reading comprehension, and translation. The types of questions vary depending on the reader's age. We hope this supplementary material will contribute to the further popularization of New Concept English and help fuel the enthusiasm for English learning among young people.
