Features: When I was studying, I got obsessed with card magic. I often played until I forgot to eat. In the mornings, I could always find a pile of cards by my bed. It was because I practiced cards the night before and fell asleep while doing so, my hands naturally relaxed, and the cards slid under the bed. Thinking back on my passion for card magic back then, it still brings me immense joy. Card magic is truly amazing: it's easy to carry, and you can practice with just a small space; it's durable—good decks can last for months; it's very popular, and almost every household has a few decks, making it incredibly familiar to everyone; its difficulty level is wide-ranging, from simple tricks to advanced professional techniques, making it easy to get started.
The 30 magic tricks in this book are the essence of card magic that I have learned over the years. Some were taught by my mentors, some were traded with friends using other magic tricks, some were discovered by solving magic shows on TV, some were bought, and some were learned by secretly observing fellow magicians at international magic conventions. After reading this book, you'll find that performing card magic successfully relies first on skill. If a trick doesn't require skill, then it depends on acting. If your skills aren't strong and your acting is poor, you can motivate yourself to practice more. If there's still no improvement after a year or so, I have a suggestion—there are hobbies in this world more interesting than card magic!
Once you finish this book and want to take your card magic to the next level, I recommend buying my card technique DVD. It's designed for card magic enthusiasts, and the techniques and applications inside will keep you busy for a year and a half. Compared to the vast ocean of card magic, the 30 tricks in this book are just a drop in the bucket. Perhaps soon, I'll write a second book!
