Features: Zhang Wentian was an outstanding proletarian revolutionary and Marxist thinker in contemporary China. He served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China during the great turning point in the history of the Chinese Revolution and the fate of the Chinese nation. Throughout his life, he pursued and upheld truth, and as an exceptional intellectual pioneer in the Communist Party of China's exploration of the path of revolution and construction, he left behind a rich spiritual legacy for future generations. This album was compiled based on the "Zhang Wentian" pictorial album published by the History Press of the Communist Party of China in 1990, which was approved by the Central Committee. Since the publication of that album, 15 years have passed, during which time new and valuable photographic and documentary materials on Zhang Wentian have been continuously collected. This year marks the 105th anniversary of Zhang Wentian's birth. With the support of Zhang Wentian's hometown, Pudong New District in Shanghai, this group has been working since last year to supplement and revise the original album, preparing for a revised and expanded edition. After a year of effort, this book has not only added and replaced a large number of images but also includes significant textual supplements, making it a new album that reflects years of research and has a different style from the original. Therefore, instead of a revised edition, it is titled "Zhang Wentian Album." This album includes a total of 483 images, of which 211 are newly added and 37 are updated. On many pages, selected insightful remarks by Zhang Wentian himself are also included. With these new materials and necessary image captions, it is believed that this album will further showcase the brilliant life of Zhang Wentian. The album is divided into 10 parts, with the first 9 parts arranged according to major stages in Zhang Wentian's life, and each part is accompanied by a chronology. The 10th part, "Remembrance and Legacy," is a visual record of the mourning and commemorative activities following Zhang Wentian's death, as well as the publication of his unfinished works.
