Features: In recent years, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the popularity of collecting porcelain has been on the rise. Collecting interests vary greatly. In addition to favoring polychrome porcelain such as blue-and-white, (wucai), doucai (), and fucai (), there is also a group of ancient ceramic enthusiasts who are particularly fond of colored glaze porcelain. Taking colored glaze porcelain as an example, some prefer celadon glaze, some white glaze, some red glaze, some blue glaze, some yellow glaze, some purple glaze, and so on. This book showcases red glaze porcelain to its readers. The emergence of red glaze can be traced back to the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty. During the Song Dynasty, the Jun kiln utilized copper oxides as colorants and fired them in a reducing atmosphere to produce copper-red glaze, known as Junhong. Due to its unstable coloring and the presence of other metal oxides, the Junhong glaze often exhibits a red hue with a hint of purple, sometimes referred to as "hawthorn red."
