Features: The ability to read ancient medical texts is closely related to the depth of one's academic cultivation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the potential for academic development. The cultivation of this ability relies on the accumulation of ancient Chinese cultural knowledge, training in reading and comprehension skills, and learning the common knowledge of ancient TCM literature. Currently, textbooks such as Medical Ancient Chinese and TCM Literature Studies are available for learning relevant knowledge, but there is a lack of specialized textbooks for training reading and comprehension skills. Therefore, we have compiled this Reading Training for Medical Ancient Chinese (2nd Edition) to assist students of TCM colleges and universities with a certain level of ancient Chinese proficiency after completing the Medical Ancient Chinese course, practicing TCM professionals, and others who are interested in reading ancient medical texts to improve their reading ability. This textbook includes a total of 60 selected passages, written in simplified characters in horizontal layout, without retaining variant characters. Obvious errors are marked with the correct character in parentheses beside the incorrect one, while the rest remain unchanged. The book is designed in a loose-leaf format, allowing for flexible selection and combination of one to three or four passages at a time, depending on students' proficiency levels and teaching needs.
