Features: Coronary heart disease (CHD), also known as ischemic heart disease, is currently one of the most common and harmful heart diseases both domestically and internationally. In many countries, especially in industrialized nations, it has become one of the leading causes of death. In Finland, approximately 1-3% of the annual death population dies from coronary heart disease. In the United States, with a population of 200 million, more than 3,000 people experience acute myocardial infarction daily, and about 700,000 deaths annually are attributed to coronary heart disease, with a significant portion being sudden deaths. Research on coronary heart disease not only involves an increasingly broad scope but also progresses rapidly. This book is the fourth edition published after May 1995. It adds seven new chapters, in addition to correcting errors and enriching materials based on the previous edition, it also merges Chapters 2 and 4 into one chapter and adds seven more, resulting in a total of 41 chapters. The original chapters on coronary heart disease with heart failure, coronary heart disease, and coronary heart disease with arrhythmia have been rewritten and combined into the chapter on myocardial infarction type coronary heart disease.
