Features: This book is set against the backdrop of the major historical shift during the Chu-Han contention, analyzing the reasons for the fall of Chu and the rise of Han, and exploring the charisma of the key founders of the Han Dynasty. The establishment of the Western Han Dynasty was a historical achievement created by Emperor Gaozu of Han, Liu Bang, along with a group of scholars and generals. Among them, the four key ministers—Zhang Liang, Xiao He, Han Xin, and Chen Ping—made the greatest contributions. Zhang Liang provided strategies, Xiao He was diligent, Han Xin led military campaigns, and Chen Ping engaged in espionage, each playing a pivotal role in the establishment of the Western Han. Liu Bang served as the supreme commander of the entire army. Their achievements were interconnected and interdependent. Because Liu Bang mentioned Zhang Liang, Xiao He, and Han Xin together, they were later known as the "Three Greats of the Western Han." This book takes the achievements of these three key figures as the main thread, presenting them as a collective biography, while Chen Ping and Liu Bang are covered in separate appendices. The collective biography covers their entire lives, while the appendices only address relevant aspects. The book unfolds in the order of the achievements of the Three Greats, with a chapter on Chen Ping as an appendix, and the deeds of Liu Bang serve as a foundation for the Three Greats, weaving through the entire book. This narrative structure aligns perfectly with the historical context.
