Features: The College English series, a new edition, was grandly launched by SEFL at the beginning of the new century to contribute further to the promotion of college English education in China. The entire series was co-authored by experienced professors and English teaching experts from renowned institutions such as Fudan University, Peking University, East China Normal University, University of Science and Technology of China, South China University of Technology, Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Nankai University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The series consists of four types of textbooks—Comprehensive, Listening and Speaking, Reading (divided into General and Advanced editions), and Fast Reading—as well as a Grammar Handbook and Teacher's Book. Reading Course (General Edition) aims to provide students with systematic and diverse reading materials, cultivate their proficiency in applying reading skills and accurately understanding texts, broaden their knowledge and cultural horizons, and enhance their reading comprehension and appreciation. This course is divided into six volumes, with eight units per volume, totaling 24 articles. Each article is followed by three or four types of exercises to improve students' analytical and summarizing abilities. At the end of each volume, a master vocabulary list is provided for students to look up and memorize.
