The first part revolves around the main text, Text A. It first provides a reference translation of the text, followed by detailed annotations on some key and challenging language points in the text. The annotations focus on providing definitions, collocations, word formation, and appropriate synonyms and antonyms. Additionally, some exercises for distinguishing similar words are included. These materials are intended for teachers to select and use in their teaching, and the editors do not wish to encourage teachers to "overemphasize vocabulary" in the classroom. After the text annotations, the editors provide some communicative teaching activities related to the unit theme.
The second part of each unit focuses on the supplementary text, Text B. It mainly provides reference translations of the text and answers to related exercises. This book does not provide reference answers for open-ended questions. Teachers can appropriately evaluate students' exercise results based on actual teaching situations.
