Features: "To understand the present, one must look to the past; without the past, there is no present." This is a saying from the ancients, meaning that to understand the present, one must understand history. For many years, when we talked about Yunnan, we often discussed its natural resources more than its cultural resources. Many people outside the province, even some of us, often have a limited understanding of Yunnan, often limited to "the Kingdom of Plants," "the Kingdom of Animals," or "the Kingdom of Non-ferrous Metals." To more prominently promote Yunnan's history and culture, to carry forward its glorious past, to spread its excellent culture, to promote the development and construction of cultural tourism, and at the same time to meet the strong demand of to collect and reference the articles from the "Wen Shi Zhe" special issue for publication, with the support of the Publicity Department of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture Committee, the articles from the first three years of the "Wen Shi Zhe" special issue were carefully selected and compiled into "Yunnan Wen Shi Bola," published as part of the "Yunnan Daily Wen Shi Zhe Series."
