Author: Compiled by the China Disabled Persons' Sports Association
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2004-03-01
Features: With the continuous improvement of competitive levels in Para-sports and the expansion of participation in various sports, Para-sports are increasingly relying on technological support and knowledge services provided by the intellectual support system of sports science development. To meet these evolving needs, the China Disabled Persons' Olympic Committee has strengthened scientific research in Para-sports. On one hand, it has guided the development of awareness in Para-sports research; on the other hand, it has encouraged practical research activities and implemented corresponding measures. This marks the first national Para-sports scientific academic conference in history. The convening of this conference and the publication of the "Proceedings" will serve as a strong starting point for promoting the popularization, systematization, and institutionalization of Para-sports research in China. A total of 92 papers were collected for this conference, and due to space constraints, 55 articles included in the "Proceedings" were selected from the full collection through a rigorous process. These papers cover various aspects of Para-sports, including education, competition, training, fitness and rehabilitation, as well as theoretical research at both macro and micro levels.
