Selected and Critically Appraised Excellent Bachelor's Theses from Beijing Sport University: 2000--2004

Features: Undergraduate education is the foundation of university education, and the bachelor's thesis is a concentrated reflection of the achievements of this education. The annual defense and selection of outstanding bachelor's theses are a routine practice of the Academic Affairs Office at Beijing Sport University. We strongly feel that improving the quality of bachelor's theses requires specific guidance for students. Guiding undergraduate students to consult the latest authoritative domestic and international academic journals, reference graduate theses, participate in various academic conferences both inside and outside the university, and discuss the overall design and operational plans of the thesis with their supervisors—all of these are methods to enhance the quality of undergraduate theses. However, if undergraduate students are provided with an outstanding thesis written by their senior classmates as a guide, it would make them feel more relatable and practical. Therefore, we conceived the idea of publishing a collection of selected and reviewed outstanding bachelor's theses from Beijing Sport University. This book includes 16 theses that won first and second prizes in the outstanding bachelor's thesis selection at Beijing Sport University from 2000 to 2004, with each thesis followed by comments from the supervising teachers. We will systematically publish such books in the future. Although these theses still appear somewhat immature and retain some regrets, we believe that as the crystallization of the development of undergraduate education at Beijing Sport University, as a record of students' scientific start under the guidance of their supervisors, and as a memory of yesterday and a dream for tomorrow, their academic and historical value will gradually manifest in the growth process of Beijing Sport University.
