Features: "Red Tourism Premium Route Guide" is a stereoscopic combination design, consisting of 6 separate volumes. This design divides the 30 red tourism premium routes jointly recommended by 13 ministries and commissions including the Central Propaganda Department into 6 major regions (Northeast, North China, Northwest, East China, Southwest, and Central China), with one volume dedicated to each region. Each volume combines the revolutionary struggles and battles led by the Communist Party of China in different historical periods, revolutionary heritage sites, and the cultural and natural landscapes of the respective regions. The historical depth and the regional characteristics of culture and natural scenery are highlighted, catering to the needs of regional red tourism participants.
The Red Tourism series is jointly planned by Modern Publishing House and Beijing Shouli Group. Renowned experts in Party history, military history, and tourism from across the country were specially invited to contribute to the writing of this series. The route design, scenic spot selection, and travel tips provided fully consider the needs of red tourism travelers. The red tourism scenic areas (revolutionary heritage sites) are integrated with green mountains and waters, as well as cultural landscapes, blending revolutionary tradition education, appreciation of the motherland's landscapes, and the enjoyment of ethnic cultural heritage. The series is multifunctional, combining knowledge, information, and leisure.
Red tourism primarily refers to thematic tourism activities centered around commemorative sites and landmarks where the Communist Party of China and the people led by it achieved significant accomplishments during the revolutionary and war periods. These sites carry revolutionary history, stories, and spirit as their core content. Developing red tourism holds significant practical and historical importance for strengthening revolutionary tradition education, enhancing the patriotic sentiments of the entire nation, especially among the youth, promoting and nurturing the national spirit, and driving coordinated economic and social development in revolutionary old areas.
To promote the development of red tourism projects, the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) conducted a comprehensive plan for China's red tourism projects by the end of 2004. The Central Propaganda Department and 13 other ministries and commissions have recently jointly designed and recommended 30 domestic red tourism premium routes. The publication of the Red Tourism series by Modern Publishing House fully reflects the principle of being close to reality, close to life, and close to the people, which is of great significance for the development of the red tourism industry.
