The feeling of Xiuhang: The thinking of combat

Author: (Japanese) Honinbo Shusaku Fujisawa

Features: What summarizes the essence of this series is "combat." Go is a game of occupying space, and if you can win with a lead in actual space without fighting, that would naturally be ideal. The famous saying in Sun Tzu's Art of War is "Know your enemy and know yourself, and you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." However, although the go board is small, knowing oneself and the enemy is not easy. Go is a face-to-face combat between two people. If you grasp the state of the game before your opponent, combat can unfold favorably. From the opening to the mid-game, the combat that leads to victory or defeat becomes increasingly intense. This book divides the types of combat into three chapters. Since combat is complex and divergent, it should logically be divided more finely, but there are common examples in each chapter, so please understand this. This series of books is organized and collected in the form of "My Next Move." This format cannot be said to be the best, but please understand that it is my thinking, my feeling.
