Features: Geography as a knowledge concept coexists with humanity, and geography as a culture develops alongside human progress. Precisely for this reason, when people are no longer satisfied with merely summarizing the general essential attributes of geographical phenomena, the term "geography" is continuously endowed with more connotations. The concept of "National Geographic" emerged accordingly. With a broad and profound definition, it becomes an embryo in the mother liquor of civilization, absorbing and integrating human geography, tourism geography, and other academic fields related to geography that float at the fringes of various disciplines, thereby producing a new cultural layer that encompasses natural, historical, cultural, folk, ecological, and tourism information. Driven by the thought of this culture and the dedication to helping more people understand this new concept, after long-term planning and preparation, we have edited and launched this series of "China National Geographic" books, expecting to present the Chinese National Geographic to a broad readership in a relatively complete form. This series divides China into seven major parts according to the conventional administrative regional division: North China, East China, Northeast China, Northwest China, Central China, Southwest China, and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions. Each part is further divided into provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions, special administrative regions) and provides detailed introductions on aspects such as administrative divisions, population, ethnic groups, historical and cultural heritage, landforms, climate, economy, and tourism geography. The language is accessible and detailed, breaking down the barriers of traditional academic geography books that are often difficult to read, presenting real images and simple academic content in an intuitive manner.
The "China National Geographic: Northeast, Northwest, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan" volume includes the content on Northeast China, Northwest China, and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions. Black, yellow, blue—this is the land, that is the sea. Sorghum turns red, grapes ripen, and various splendid colors are alling and decorating the same bright light.
The "China National Geographic: Central China and Southwest China" volume includes the content on Central China and Southwest China. Whether it is the charm of the Central Plains, the wealth of Hubei and Hunan or the charm of Yunnan and Guizhou, differences do not signify anything. Collecting the essence and preserving the commonality is, in itself, a subtle manifestation of civilization.
The "China National Geographic: North China and East China" volume includes the content on North China and East China. Bold, open, wise, fashionable—the spirit of Qi and Lu, with its drumming and chanting, blends with the gentle and poetic charm of the mountains and waters, all rendering the colors of the vast Chinese land.
