Based on the characteristics of Arabic itself and the practical needs of Chinese learners, this book is compiled after carefully summarizing years of Arabic teaching and textbook writing experience at Peking University, while also incorporating recent developments in foreign language teaching. It focuses on the transmission of fundamental knowledge and theories, as well as the training of basic skills, striving for an organic combination of ideological depth, scientific rigor, systematicity, and engagement. It meets requirements such as broad themes, diverse genres, strong practicality, concise and standardized language, and a progressive and gradual learning pace. Each of the four volumes, with 68 lessons per book, includes 10 major components: sentence patterns, dialogues, texts, vocabulary, proverbs and sayings, explanations, grammar, as well as exercises, readings, and assignments. The lessons are interconnected, with components mutually linked. Exercises are diverse in form and rich in content, while vocabulary is distributed evenly with high repetition rates. The total vocabulary for dialogues and texts across the entire book is approximately 3,600 words, with an additional 1,000 words for readings. Additionally, we have included a separate volume with exercise answers.
