Features: From the perspective of the total social wealth in China, the country can fully afford the basic living needs of all citizens during life's vicissitudes. Social security is clearly more efficient than individual and family support, but why has China not established a social security system that covers all citizens, at least the majority? Why has China's rural social security system at one time been lacking or unsustainable? What approach should China adopt to address the survival needs of those in need of social security during life's vicissitudes? This is the research topic of this book. A series of viewpoints and policy recommendations on the construction of rural social security systems are woven throughout the book: Comparing and evaluating the current urban and rural social security systems in China. How do the vast differences between urban and rural social security systems exist? This book delves into relevant mathematical theories and economic theories, as well as the real needs of China's urban and rural economic and social development, analyzing the necessity of building rural social security systems. Part of the book focuses on solving the three major challenges of rural health insurance systems: funding, benefit levels, and management system selection. It explores how to establish cooperative health insurance systems in areas where political and economic conditions can support them, and low-level health protection systems like cooperative medical care in areas with lower economic levels, ultimately forming a rural community health security system that can be connected with the urban community-based health insurance system. Another part of the book primarily analyzes the necessity of establishing an old-age insurance system for landless farmers, commercial operations, and urban-rural integrated models.
