Features: Over the past seventy years, the development of our civil law has been in harmony with social changes, and civil law doctrines and case studies have worked together. The amendments to civil law and the enactment of special civil laws have tested the formation of a diverse value system. As we approach the 21st century, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the civil law and to leave some footprints in the history of civil law development, Yuanzhao Publishing House was motivated to plan this anniversary collection. By inviting Taiwanese civil law scholars to contribute articles based on their expertise, we have jointly participated in this grand event to honor the 70th anniversary of the civil law. The entire collection includes nearly 30 papers, divided into three volumes: (1) General Principles and Book on Obligations; (2) Book on Obligations; (3) Property Rights and Family Law. Each paper strives to analyze and examine the development of specific issues in both theory and practice, and some also propose legislative suggestions and future prospects. Additionally, to facilitate readers' study, a preface is provided before each article. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the civil law, we especially wish to express our gratitude to all those who have dedicated their efforts to civil law research. It is because of their selfless contributions and extra efforts that civil law studies have achieved today's success. As we face the rapidly changing new century, society will soon encounter even faster transformations, making the need for enacting special civil laws and timely amendments to civil law more urgent.
