Features: China is the homeland of Tibetan studies. Tibet is an integral part of China, and the Tibetan people are an important member of the Chinese nation. These are precisely the fundamental conditions for the emergence and development of Tibetan studies, as well as an inexhaustible source of inspiration. This humanities and social science discipline, which has grown and flourished on the Chinese mainland, has now become a world-renowned field of study. To showcase the achievements of Tibetan studies in China, strengthen academic exchanges with international peers, promote the prosperity and development of Tibetan studies, and serve the construction of two civilizations in Tibet and other Tibetan regions, under the leadership of the China Tibetology Research Center, we have compiled and published this series, The Modern Chinese Tibetan Studies Library. The series primarily includes four types of content: academic monographs by Chinese Tibetan scholars (including scholars from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan); Tibetan studies documents of significant value (including historical documents compiled by modern scholars); Tibetan academic masterpieces translated into Chinese; and doctoral dissertations in Tibetan studies (outstanding master's theses may be included on a case-by-case basis). All included works are evaluated solely based on their academic value, and works such as literary fiction, travelogues, and popular reading materials are not currently being considered for inclusion. As a fundamental construction project in Chinese Tibetan studies, we will continue this work in the long term. We sincerely hope to receive strong support from Tibetan scholars both at home and abroad.
