Publish Date: 2002-12-01
Features: The several articles selected in this collection systematically and straightforwardly record the process and footprints of the author's investigation and research on the social, historical, religious, and cultural aspects of the Gannan Tibetan region. This collection also includes Li Anzai Professor's research report on the six-month field investigation conducted in Western Sichuan from autumn 1944 to 1945, as well as several papers on Tibetan Buddhism written in the 1940s, and excerpts of the author's partial translation of the book "Tibetans on Tibet." From these articles, we can see that during this period, Li Anzai Professor had expanded the scope of his research from Gannan to Western Sichuan and Tibet; his research on Tibetan Buddhism had also deepened compared to the 1930s. The articles selected in this collection fully reflect Li Anzai's academic thought and research style. In the process of organization and selection, while some dates, figures, and events were corrected as necessary, the rest remained in their original form to better reflect the historical context of the time.
