China's Anti-Japanese War was an extremely important part of the World Anti-Fascist War. China was the earliest, longest-lasting, most heavily sacrificed, and most severely damaged country to resist the world's fascist invaders. China's Anti-Japanese War was not only a just anti-invasion war fought by the Chinese people to safeguard national sovereignty and ethnic dignity but also provided strong support to the European and Pacific theaters. It completely disrupted Japan's militarist ambitions to dominate the world. More importantly, through immense national sacrifices, the Chinese people firmly tied nearly 70% of Japan's fascist forces to the Chinese battlefield, preventing them from reinforcing the Far East and Pacific regions and significantly easing the pressure on Allied forces. The Chinese battlefield became the main theater of the Eastern Front and made great contributions to the World Anti-Fascist War.
The series "Witnessing 1945" reflects some of the major events before and after the victory in the Anti-Japanese War with detailed historical records and accessible writing.
