Features: Chinese characters are the writing system for the Chinese language. Correctly recognizing and writing Chinese characters is an important aspect of learning Chinese well. The structure of Chinese characters follows certain patterns. Learning to analyze the structure of Chinese characters helps in mastering them more quickly. This book analyzes the structure of Chinese characters without being rigidly bound to traditional methods. For ease of learning, we refer to the structural units of Chinese characters as components. Lectures 1–5 explain the basic knowledge and methods of analyzing Chinese characters. Lectures 6–70 correspond to Lessons 16–80 of the first three textbooks, analyzing the Chinese characters that appear in each lesson and introducing some knowledge about Chinese characters. For convenience, a comparison table of 1,800 simplified and traditional characters, as well as simplified radicals, is appended at the end of the book.
