Features: Sun Yanzhao (1893—1983), styled Mengjin, styled Xuan'an, was from Rui'an, Zhejiang. His grandfather Yiyan, his paternal grandfather Sun Qiangming, and his uncle Sun Yirang were all renowned scholars of the late Qing Dynasty. Growing up in an academic family, Sun Yanzhao was nurtured by the family's scholarly traditions from a young age. Sun Yanzhao was very prolific in writing, but due to various subjective and objective reasons, few of his works were formally published, let alone collected and published. This time, the "Wenzhou Literature Series" editorial committee decided to publish the "Collected Works of Sun Yanzhao." The collection includes "Annals of Ming Dynasty Wenzhou Wokou," which is compiled from various historical records such as "Sea Chart for Coastal Defense," "Brief on Wenzhou and Chuzhou Coastal Defense," "Annals of Ming Dynasty Events," and "Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Government."
