World History Curriculum Teaching Reference: Modern Volume

Author: Qi Tao
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-08-01
Features: Each volume of this teaching reference adopts an upper and lower section structure. The chapters in the upper section correspond to the chapter titles in the accompanying teaching materials, generally including two main contents:
1. "Selected Materials," which collects representative primary sources from each historical period;
2. "Academic Research Review," primarily introducing the current state of research on each historical period in the field of history, differing scholarly viewpoints in academic discussions, and research findings of significant academic value or representative significance. These contents can be used for classroom teaching, student self-study, discussions, and preliminary academic research, better achieving the overall teaching reform concept of "two spaces."
The lower section consists of selected academic papers for reading, aiming to provide students with exemplary academic writing. The selection criteria are:
1. Content-wise, the papers should have high academic value, exert considerable influence within a certain academic field, and represent a particular viewpoint or school of thought.
2. Format-wise, the academic writing should be relatively standardized, facilitating students in practicing imitation-style exercises when learning to write papers. This section is primarily intended for students to refer to outside of class.
