Features: The seventh conference of the Chinese historical studies community was held from April 14 to 17, 2004, at Shaanxi Normal University. Following the tradition of the Chinese historical studies conferences, academic seminars were conducted with the theme "Current Status and Development Trends of Chinese Historical Studies." This collection includes 19 articles submitted by the delegates, as well as two speeches delivered at the opening and closing ceremonies of the conference. A summary of the academic seminars is also included as an appendix to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the seminars.
