Inspired by this trend of returning to simplicity, we have compiled this book, "Fascinating Animal Folklore," offering a unique perspective to explore the richness of folk culture and seek the harmony between humans and nature. During the writing process of this book, we extensively utilized a wealth of materials from published domestic and international books and periodicals. Here, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the authors, translators, and editors of these publications. The value and uniqueness of this book should be judged by the readers. If it brings some interest due to its curiosity and exploration, it would also contribute a small grain of sand to the study of folklore. As compilers, that would be enough. The book includes nearly 200 folk customs, divided into 8 categories, roughly arranged by geographical location, such as Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe, Oceania, and so on. At the end, due to limitations in conditions and expertise, errors and omissions are inevitable. We sincerely invite the readers to kindly point them out.
