Features: This dictionary is designed for middle school students and those with a medium level of education, providing word formation and writing vocabulary. It includes over 3,700 commonly used single characters with word-formation capabilities. The single characters are arranged in Pinyin order. Characters with the same syllable and tone are sorted by stroke count from few to many, and those with the same stroke count are arranged by the order of stroke type (horizontal, vertical, hook, dot, and fold). Lightly stressed characters with standalone radicals are placed at the end. Characters with multiple pronunciations are listed separately, and characters with multiple meanings are listed using ①②③. Characters with weak word-formation capabilities, as well as their phonetic items and meanings, are not included. Under each single character, example words formed by it are listed under the corresponding meanings, arranged by the number of characters in the word and the position of the single character within the word. Example words with the same character group are arranged in Pinyin order based on the non-single character head. The included example words are primarily those commonly used in both ancient and modern times, with a limited number of idioms. In example words, the same character as the single character head is replaced with a "~" symbol. Example words are separated by "|" symbols.
Index. At the end of this dictionary, there is an attached "Single Character Stroke Index."
