Features: The current reform in China has entered a critical phase, reaching a key period. The implementation of the Western Development Strategy and China's entry into the WTO have presented new challenges and unprecedented development opportunities for the economic and social development of the three provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. Further promoting the coordinated economic and social development of the Yangtze River Delta region will effectively help the three provinces and cities better face challenges and seize development opportunities. To well-address the strategic research of the Yangtze River Delta region, not only does further exploration in practice need to be carried out, but theoretical workers also need to study Deng Xiaoping Theory more deeply, further understand and implement the spirit of the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and dedicate their wisdom to contributing to the prosperity and development of this region. The Yangtze River Delta region spans the three provinces and cities of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, and is currently China's fastest-growing and most promising region in terms of economic growth, and is moving toward regional economic integration. The comprehensive and coordinated economic and social development of this region is not only related to whether China's economy can maintain healthy and sustainable growth but also to the comprehensive rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. This book is a collection of papers by experts and scholars from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai who conduct in-depth research on the regional development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta. It breaks through the previous limitations of only focusing on economics and urban development research, achieving a comprehensive and interdisciplinary study from the perspectives of political science, economics, sociology, ecology, and more. It has strong practical relevance and policy application value.
