Features: With the continuous deepening of the new round of basic education curriculum reform, "learning" has begun to become a key term in the field of education in our era. How to facilitate students to engage in effective learning activities in a more democratic, open, and autonomous environment, improve the quality of learning, and balance the development of students in various aspects such as knowledge and skills, processes and methods, as well as emotions, attitudes, and values, has become an important issue in the reform of education in modern China. Therefore, in June 2002, after thorough preparation, we applied to the National Office for Educational Science Planning of China with the research topic "Research on Effective Learning Guidance Strategies for Middle School Students," and it was quickly approved as a national "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" educational science research project. Vice President Yang Jiujun of the Jiangsu Institute of Educational Sciences, Director Peng Gang, Professor Chen Guisheng, Professor Du Chengxian, and Associate Professor Wang Jianjun of the Department of Education, East China Normal University, provided us with valuable guidance and assistance for this project. Most of the core teaching staff of Jiangsu Huacheng Middle School took on the specific research work of this project, and Associate Professor Wang Jianjun put in a great deal of effort and hard work. We attach great importance to this project, and to ensure the smooth progress of the research, we quickly organized sub-project teams according to the research plan and issued project management regulations, establishing some research systems. The book now presented to you is part of our research achievements.
