Features: The difficulty of understanding the world lies in grasping the trends of its changes. The mindset of successful individuals lies in constantly capturing the pulse of societal changes, promptly reviewing and adjusting their thought trajectories, ensuring that all operations and action plans remain under dynamic control. The thousands of years of human civilization tell us that before every physical action of intelligent life, there is an intellectual action. Intellectual actions permeate the thinking process of humans, which is the mindset; physical actions are the manifestation process of the mindset. The former is linked to the behavior of human society in transforming the subjective world; the latter is linked to the behavior of human society in transforming the objective world. As a category of behavior in transforming the subjective world, the mindset is reflected in worldview and methodology. The former is the human ability, level, and results of understanding the world, while the latter is the path and means by which humans transform the world.
A review of the favorites of successful endeavors reveals the following characteristics of their successful mindset:
First is dynamism. The mindset of successful individuals follows the principle of "the affairs of men are ever-changing, and the world is ever-changing." They constantly capture the pulse of societal changes, promptly review and adjust their thought trajectories, ensuring that all operations and action plans remain under dynamic control. In the eyes of successful individuals, any qualitative conclusion can only apply to the "present tense" in terms of time, while development and change are the eternal truths.
Second is diversity. Successful individuals believe that the diversity of the world leads to the stability of society and the continuity of human civilization. Therefore, any correct decision should be based on a value system grounded in diversity. Value is the soul of decision-making. The diversity of values can lead to the stability and scientificity of decisions. A value system based on diversity makes target management in decision-making a multi-objective management system. The inconsistency of target interests creates a mutually balancing relationship between objectives. The decision-making process must weigh multiple objectives of the multi-objective system and make choices based on the personal preferences of the decision-makers. Such choices, for a specific objective, can only be a "satisfactory" decision, not an "optimal" one. For example, macroeconomic regulation decisions must weigh objectives such as economic growth, price stability, full employment, and balanced international payments.
Third is foresight. The difficulty of understanding the world lies in grasping its changing trends. Being the first to take the lead is the fundamental experience behind the rapid rise of the economy in southern China, because only by being the first to take the lead can one achieve the benefits of pioneering. Economic benefits are primarily reflected in three aspects: pioneering benefits, differential benefits, and scale benefits. Pioneering benefits occur in the dimension of time, differential benefits occur in the dimension of space, and scale benefits are the means to achieve the aforementioned two benefits. The key to being the first to take the lead lies in "pioneering," and to achieve this, two conditions must be met:
1. The wisdom to be the first to take the lead. This wisdom is implied in the belief in the changes of things, the keenness to observe changes, and the persistence in facing changes.
2. The courage to be the first to take the lead. History has proven that those who are the first to take the lead have almost always paid a heavy price to achieve the benefits of pioneering. The reason lies in the fact that the philosophy of being the first to take the lead often clashes with the traditional philosophy of mainstream society; the actions of being the first to take the lead are often rejected by the traditional institutions of mainstream society. Therefore, once the mindset of being the first to take the lead is formed, to obtain the benefits of pioneering, one must also dare to defy conventions and initiate the "crab-eating first" process. Without such and courage, the market economy model would never have emerged in China, nor would the shareholding economy form have been created.
