Features: Psychology has truly become an independent discipline for over a hundred years. It wasn't until the 1950s of this century that Dr. Suzuki, a master of Japanese Zen, successfully introduced Eastern Zen to the United States. Then, first-class Western psychologists suddenly realized that for more than half a century, psychology had been wandering in the dark. This is because understanding human beings cannot be achieved through language, logic, or analytical methods, as what is obtained is merely conceptual knowledge about people. Understanding human beings must be through the whole person's experience and intuition of the whole person, in other words, only by using Eastern thinking can one see through the essence of human life, and what is obtained is wisdom about people. In spiritual life, what truly brings us joy is wisdom, not knowledge. Wellness psychology is a new discipline that explores the mysteries of the human mind using Eastern thinking. Wellness psychology holds that the functional state of the human body's five zang organs and six fu organs directly affects thinking, emotions, and actions; the cause of psychological diseases is due to the patient's yin-yang imbalance and inability to accept themselves, leading to a shrinkage of psychological life space. And the heart-mind therapy, based on the theory of wellness psychology, provides a holistic approach to nurturing both body and spirit, in harmony with the laws of yin and yang.
