After reading it, I deeply felt that it is a pioneering work, and I feel compelled to strongly recommend it to a wide readership and fellow academics. Comparative cultural studies is the discipline that compares different cultures. As Hanwen stated, it is a new discipline in contemporary Chinese and even international academia, or even one that can be said to be yet to be formed. Comparing different cultures has a long history, and our predecessors have left us a vast body of related works. However, comparative cultural studies as a discipline has yet to be fully formed, which shows the extraordinary difficulty of establishing this field. With the rapid advent of the era of globalization, conflicts, dialogues, and exchanges between different cultural traditions, characteristics, and forms have become an integral part of our lives. To discern this coexisting and diverse cultural landscape and to foster mutual understanding and analysis between different cultures, the time for establishing comparative cultural studies has arguably arrived.
