Features: Outline of the Logic of Cognition is a lecture manuscript by Mr. Chen Wangdao at Fudan University in 1928, the first comprehensive introduction to logic of cognition written in vernacular Chinese. It was published by the World Press in 1931 and was widely acclaimed by readers. The book was originally titled The Logic of Cognition when first published. In the 1970s, a publishing house planned to reprint it, and the author made several revisions, renaming the book to Outline of the Logic of Cognition, but it was ultimately not published due to certain reasons. For this reissue, the revised manuscript provided by the author's family was used as the basis, with the original preface removed. Due to the change from vertical to horizontal layout, phrases like "as shown in the left figure" were revised to "below." Essentials of the Logic of Cognition is the representative work of Mr. Ishimura, which was published by the Zhonghua Book Company in 1981. It was the first book introducing the fundamentals of logic of cognition published after the Cultural Revolution, and had a significant impact on the revival of logic of cognition research in the 1980s. This reissue is based on the 1981 edition.
