Author: (Russian) S. Ryzhin
Publisher:
Publication Date: 2005-01-01
Features: This book is the most authoritative work explaining the past, present, and future of international energy. International Energy Politics and Diplomacy systematically introduces the definition, connotation, and political-economic foundation of energy diplomacy, analyzes the development trends and existing issues of the global energy market and international energy politics, and provides a focused review and study of Russia's energy diplomacy from national, regional, and global perspectives. The final chapter of the book introduces the characteristics of the foreign strategies and corporate diplomacy of transnational energy companies of Russia and other major countries in the world. Currently, there is a significant lack of specialized monographs on international energy politics, especially textbooks, whether in the domestic energy industry or in the fields of international political and economic research. Given the current development of the global energy political economy, particularly the domestic supply-demand gap in China's energy industry and the challenges it faces in further development from both domestic and international political-economic perspectives, it is felt that translating and publishing this work, as well as conducting research on it, will be beneficial in promoting a deeper understanding of global energy politics and economics, especially in the field of energy diplomacy, among domestic scholars. It will also help domestic energy professionals and researchers in the field of international political economy to understand the research levels and dynamics of Russian experts in this field, as well as foster collaboration and communication between the domestic energy industry and the international political economy community. Therefore, publishing this book holds significant theoretical research value and practical significance.
