Features: The Chinese translations of Buddhist scriptures are mostly products of the Han and Tang dynasties, over a thousand years old. Without a certain knowledge of ancient Chinese, it is indeed challenging to appreciate these ancient works. Additionally, Buddhist stories are scattered throughout thick volumes of scriptures, making it like searching for a needle in a haystack. Moreover, Tibetan Buddhist scriptures are renowned both at home and abroad, and the stories they contain carry Tibetan characteristics. Therefore, based on the research of older Buddhist scholars, we selected over a hundred stories from various Chinese and Tibetan Buddhist scripture translations and rendered them into more accessible modern Chinese.
