Features: This is a book about Tibetan culture. Culture is a social phenomenon, the ability, methods, and outcomes of human practice. It is both material and spiritual, both folkloric and psychological, manifesting as both the results of activities and the methods and processes of activities. Culture is supernatural and super-individual, meaning it is only related to human activities and natural phenomena do not fall under the definition of culture. Culture is also merely a description of the activities of human groups, and phenomena that exhibit individual characteristics do not fall within the scope of cultural research. Only when individual characteristics are unified with group activities do they acquire cultural significance. "Aesthetic culture" is a concept not commonly used by many scholars. "Tibetan aesthetic culture" is a concept related to regional culture.
